STS Language Schools was the forerunner of the modern language course for secondary school students. In the summer of 1958 STS arranged the first language course to Salzburg and to various destinations in England. Much has changed since then, when most journeys were still made by train rather than aeroplane, and STS has progressed and modernised over the years. We have since exported the idea of language courses and academic programs abroad, expanding into new areas such as STS High School for teenagers, and increasing our portfolio of countries that we send student groups to study in. Today STS is represented all across the world and the mix of nationalities that we work with is greater than ever.

The business grows
In 1976 STS took the step into the traditional travel business and founded STS Alpresor. Today we are Sweden's biggest ski trip organiser with trips from Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland to the most significant ski resorts in Austria, Switzerland, France and Italy. In 1992 the well-known Hotel Salzburger Hof in the Austrian holiday paradise Bad Gastein was inaugurated. This is STS's own hotel and conference venue with close to 400 beds and every convenience imaginable. The hotel maintains the absolute highest standards after a complete renovation during 2003-2004.
