Sandy beach in Bournemouth, England.
20 kilometres of sandy beaches meet you in Bournemouth.

About Bournemouth

Bournemouth is a small town and big city at the same time. Here students will find plenty of things they would find in a big city while they can still enjoy the cozy smalltown atmosphere that prevails here.

Bournemouth was not much more than a village in the middle of the 19th century. But with its fantastic position on the coast in Poole Bay the foundation was soon laid for the seaside resort which Bournemouth is today.

Bournemouth is perfectly situated in connection with the beautiful sandy beach, that runs just over twenty kilometres along the coast of Dorset. When the school is over students can enjoy sunbathing with friends, do some shopping or go on one of the exciting and fun-filled excursions that are arranged by the STS leaders, like a visit to Bournemouth Oceanarium.
Bournemouth has an average of  7,7 hours of sunshine per day in the summer which makes it one of the most popular destinations on the south coast.
