The main reason to why you should start your journey with STS

Thu Apr 20 2017

It can be a challenge to get moving, whether it is to get up off the couch, to try on running shoes and head out to the track, or by packing your bags and move to a country where you do not know anyone. It is convenient to be just where you are and not move forward. The couch is comfortable, the popcorn bowl within reach and all of your friends are just a bus ride away. Why would you complicate things by moving?

Because it is worth it, of course!

Imagine the feeling after a run, one that you against all odds completed. The feeling of pride, strength and happiness. You did it! Even though you wanted to choose the easy way, the convenient one. "Can I really make it?", "Can I handle it all the way?", "Isn't my throat a bit sore?". But then, after going through every possible excuse in your head, you go out and run. You run, run and run, come home, step out of the shower, stronger and more pleased about yourself than ever. The endorphin's in your body are flowing and you are so proud that you actually did it!

Imagine that feeling – but to have it throughout your whole life. Pride, strength and joy. You did it! You got off the couch, you left your city and experienced an adventure that can't be compared to anything else. You improved your self-esteem, you became stronger and the urge to move forward grew more and more. That's what happens to our students. They become unstoppable. They can always look back on when they as young people took the step, ran out into the world and returned as more mature, better and happier individuals. Whatever happens, no one can take the journey they made away from them, and this they will carry with them their whole lives.
Take the step today and start your own journey. STS will help you before, during and after your trip. You have everything to win and nothing to lose – just like with that workout session you are thinking of postponing until tomorrow.
