Our trip starts in the amazing city of Vancouver. Here we have almost two full days with sightseeing which involves Stanley Park and the Totem poles, Gastown, Seawall promenade and Canada Place.
Ferry ride to Victoria
We take the ferry to Victoria and set up a camp. We explore this beautiful town, go shopping and visit the British Columbia Parliament Building among other things.
Canada’s surfing capital
After the scenic drive to Tofino we stop at Cathedral Grove and Goats on the Roof in Coombs. In Tofino you get the option to go whale and bear watching, to sign up for surfing lessons or to hike in Pacific Rim National Park. The town of Tofino is a funky, small community that you will soon fall in love with.
Over to Whistler
Time to take the beautiful ferry ride over to Whistler. In Whistler you get the option to go kayaking, canoeing and paddle boarding. The hiking areas are mesmerizing and you also have the opportunity to go downtown for some shopping.
Moving on to Wells Gray
Driving through the Caribou mountain ranges to the cosy rustic cabins in Wells Gray. Here we visit many famous waterfalls, such as Helmcken Falls and Dawson Falls.
Meet the wildlife of Jasper
It’s time for a drive to the charming mountain town of Jasper. Jasper is hiking heaven and here you have various trails to choose between. The wildlife here is extraordinary; moose, elk, black and grizzly bears, mountain goats, and bighorn sheep live in the area of Jasper. The hiking trails are totally safe, though.
Icefields parkway – Yoho National Park
We drive the famous Icefields Parkway with the optional activity of walking with a guide on the Athabascan Glacier. We continue through Yoho National Park where we hike the Wapta Falls and Emerald Loop Trail, and where the adventurous can indulge in some world class whitewater rafting!
Relaxing hot springs
We spend three days exploring the charming Canadian national park Banff. We will spend one day at the magnificent Lake Louise and Moraine Lake, moving on to explore beautiful Lake Agnes via a canoe. In Banff, the students have a free day, where they can explore the wonderful hiking trails around Banff or enjoy a day exploring the town. One evening we will enjoy ourselves, relaxing in the Banff Hot Springs.
We have now reached the road trips last stop. We go sightseeing in Calgary, enjoy a dinner and summarise this crazy journey together.
