Host & Go \u2013 A discount if you would like to be a host family during your child\u2019s year abroad.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n

Do you have a child who wants to attend high school abroad with STS, and could you also see welcoming the world into your home? Perfect! STS is currently offering a Host & Go discount of up to 2,600 NZD<\/strong> to anyone who would like to be a host family for an exchange student for at least 5 months while your child travels abroad on a high school adventure with us.<\/p>\n\n

As a host family, you will be a big part of the student\u2019s experience in your home country, and you have the chance to see the student grow and learn your language. By being a host family while your child attends high school abroad, the whole family gets to experience a cultural exchange. It is an invaluable experience that offers new perspectives and lifelong friends.<\/p>\n\n

There is a small contribution towards costs for hosting an exchange student in New Zealand, 200 NZD per week paid in arrears at the end of each month. We want our host families to welcome our students for the personal exchange and not for financial gain. As a host family, you will provide food and shelter. Other expenses, such as bus tickets, trips, hygiene items, clothes etc. the student will pay for themselves.<\/p>\n\n

Take advantage of Host & Go before or after<\/h2>\n\n

Would you like to be a host family before your child spends a year abroad, to have the chance to prepare and understand what it entails? No problem! You can use Host & Go even after you\u2019ve been a host family for another exchange student for at least 5 months and still use the discount when your child goes abroad, up to 3 years after you have been a host family. If you would like to be a host family after your child has spent a year abroad, you can also take advantage of Host & Go up to 3 years after your child has returned home.<\/p>\n\n
