Normaal gesproken doen we dat door in de zomer andere landen te bezoeken. Maar we hebben ontdekt dat het net zo avontuurlijk is om een andere cultuur in je eigen huis te halen. Ik ben zelf op uitwisseling geweest in Amerika, alweer j\u00e1ren geleden, toen was mijn familie in Nederland ook gastgezin voor een Amerikaans meisje.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-sts-image sts-block-image sts-block-image--count-1 has-max-width-md\" data-count=\"1\"><div class=\"sts-block-image__grid\"><div class=\"sts-block-image__item\"><picture class=\"sts-responsive-image has-fit-cover has-pos-top is-skeleton\"><img src=\"https:\/\/cdn.sts-education.com\/12550_hero_md.jpg\" alt=\"Wij houden van andere culturen en leren daar veel van\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" fetchpriority=\"low\" sizes=\"(max-width: 736px) 100vw, 736px\"\/><\/picture><\/div><\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-sts-text sts-text-editor has-max-width-md\"><div class=\"sts-text-editor__content\"><div class=\"sts-text-editor__content-inner\">\n<p>Onze dochter heeft een jaar in de States gewoond als uitwisselstudent. We hebben het voorrecht gehad een scholiere uit de Verenigde Staten op te kunnen nemen in ons eigen gezin, waar we ook nu nog veel contact mee hebben. Kortom, exchange is verweven met ons leven. Het is een verrijking. En momenteel begeleid ik gastgezinnen en scholieren die in Nederland zijn om de ervaring van het uitwisselingsprogramma ten volle te kunnen genieten.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Simone Brinkman, Den Haag
