Der skulle jeg v\u00e6re over 5000 km hjemmefra og m\u00e5tte jeg venne meg til en ny hverdag. Jeg forlot livet mitt i Norge, der jeg hadde skapt mine trygge omgivelser, bodde sammen med foreldrene mine og s\u00f8sknene mine mens jeg gikk p\u00e5 skole med de samme menneskene som jeg hadde kjent siden jeg var gikk i barnehage, for \u00e5 bo i dette utenlandske samfunnet hvor jeg m\u00e5tte bli vant \u00e5 snakke et annet spr\u00e5k, m\u00f8te nye mennesker og h\u00e5ndtere problemene mine alene. Tanken p\u00e5 alt dette var skremmende, men dette skulle vise seg \u00e5 bli det beste \u00e5ret i mitt liv.<\/p>\n<p>I USA ble jeg kjent med mange nye mennesker og fikk mange fantastiske venner, var involvert i lokalsamfunnet og drev ogs\u00e5 p\u00e5 med diverse idretter. B\u00e5de ishockey, amerikansk fotball og friidrett. Jeg utviklet ogs\u00e5 et veldig godt forhold med vertsfamilien min.<\/p>\n<p>\u00c5 reise p\u00e5 utveksling med STS var det beste jeg noensinne har gjort og jeg er sykt takknemlig og forn\u00f8yd med tilretteleggingen jeg fikk fra dem p\u00e5 mitt \u00e5r i USA.
