STS & Aiducatius<\/h2>\n\n

Din utbytesupplevelse kan g\u00f6ra en verklig skillnad! N\u00e4r du reser med STS \u00e5ker du inte bara utomlands. Du blir en del av n\u00e5got som hj\u00e4lper barn som annars inte skulle ha tillg\u00e5ng till utbildning, st\u00f6der lokala samh\u00e4llen och milj\u00f6n. Som en del av Educatius Group bidrar STS till Aiducatius, ett ideellt initiativ som finansierar meningsfulla projekt i Gambia och Tanzania. Alla utbytesstudenter hos STS hj\u00e4lper till att st\u00f6dja dessa initiativ. Oavsett om du inser det eller inte \u00e4r du en del av n\u00e5got st\u00f6rre, n\u00e5got som hj\u00e4lper till att skapa m\u00f6jligheter och hopp f\u00f6r andra.<\/p>\n\n

St. Martin\u2019s School, Gambia<\/h2>\n\n

I den lantliga kustbyn Kartong ligger St. Martin’s School, som har \u00f6ver 1 500 elever fr\u00e5n den omgivande regionen. Undervisningen \u00e4r gratis, men m\u00e5nga familjer har \u00e4nd\u00e5 sv\u00e5rt att klara de grundl\u00e4ggande kostnaderna f\u00f6r b\u00f6cker, uniformer, skolmaterial och till och med skor. Aiducatius hj\u00e4lper till att undanr\u00f6ja ekonomiska hinder. Varje \u00e5r f\u00e5r hundratals elever de saker de beh\u00f6ver f\u00f6r att kunna forts\u00e4tta skolan. Det kan inneb\u00e4ra att ett barn f\u00e5r forts\u00e4tta sin utbildning ist\u00e4llet f\u00f6r att stanna hemma. Eller att en f\u00f6r\u00e4lder kan spara till universitetet ist\u00e4llet f\u00f6r att oroa sig f\u00f6r dagen idag.<\/p>\n\n

Gabriella Children Rehabilitation Centre, Tanzania<\/h2>\n\n

Vid foten av berget Kilimanjaro ger Gabriella Children Rehabilitation Centre barn med funktionsvariationer m\u00f6jlighet att l\u00e4ra sig, bidra och bli sj\u00e4lvst\u00e4ndiga. Utan denna skola skulle m\u00e5nga av dem bli helt utest\u00e4ngda fr\u00e5n samh\u00e4llet och riskera att uts\u00e4ttas f\u00f6r \u00f6vergrepp och vanv\u00e5rd. Eleverna f\u00e5r individuell v\u00e4gledning \u2013 vissa akademisk, andra yrkesinriktad. De l\u00e4r sig att baka, odla, bygga, f\u00f6da upp djur och till och med tillverka varor som hj\u00e4lper till att finansiera centrets verksamhet. Aiducatius bidrar till l\u00e4rarnas l\u00f6ner och hj\u00e4lper till att ut\u00f6ka program som nu studeras och delas av statliga utbildare i hela Tanzania.<\/p>\n\n

Tree Planting and Conservation, Tanzania<\/h2>\n\n

Att studera utomlands inneb\u00e4r resor, och resor inneb\u00e4r koldioxidutsl\u00e4pp. Sedan 2009 har Aiducatius st\u00f6ttat lokala naturv\u00e5rdsgrupper i Biharamulo i nordv\u00e4stra Tanzania med att plantera hundratusentals tr\u00e4d. Detta \u00e5terst\u00e4ller skogar, skyddar vattenk\u00e4llor och utbildar ungdomar i att skapa sig ett levebr\u00f6d inom h\u00e5llbart skogsbruk. Dessa initiativ f\u00f6rb\u00e4ttrar ocks\u00e5 h\u00e4lsan och minskar avskogningen genom att inf\u00f6ra br\u00e4nslesn\u00e5la spisar som nu anv\u00e4nds i hem och skolor i hela regionen. Initiativet skyddar ekosystemen och skapar ekonomiska m\u00f6jligheter f\u00f6r de lokala samh\u00e4llena.<\/p>\n\n

The Aiducatius Creativity Internship<\/h2>\n\n

Varje \u00e5r anordnar Educatius en global t\u00e4vling f\u00f6r studenter, tidigare studenter, v\u00e4rdfamiljer, l\u00e4rare och personal d\u00e4r man kan ans\u00f6ka om en tv\u00e5 veckors kreativ praktik p\u00e5 St. Martin\u2019s School i Gambia. Vinnarna utformar och leder workshops inom konst, ber\u00e4ttande eller musik och arbetar tillsammans med lokala l\u00e4rare i projekt som st\u00f6der detta unika utbytesprogram.
